Ishpeming – David A. "Grip" Croschere Sr., age 60, of 5593 Co. Rd. CD in Ely Twp. was pronounced dead on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at him home of natural causes.

Dave was born November 8, 1957 in Marquette, MI the son of Elizabeth "Betty" (King) and the late Lloyd Croschere Sr.  He was a graduate of the Marquette Senior High School, Class of 1976.  Dave moved to the Ishpeming area in 1985 and had resided here since.  "Grip" as he was known, worked for OK Industrial for 20 years as an outside industrial salesman, covering the entire Upper Peninsula.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Grip was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting and fishing.  He also took a liking towards woodworking, coin collecting along with traveling, camping and photography.  He had been a member of the Ishpeming Cribbage League. Dave will be remembered as a sweet man who had an infectious laugh and was always there to pick someone up who was feeling down.

Survivors include a son David Croschere Jr., of Ishpeming, daughter Crystal (Keith) Swenor of Palmer, his grandchildren – Daisy and David "DJ" Croschere and Mason and Marissa Swenor, mother Betty Croschere of Marquette, 3 sisters – Sherry (Norman) Pittsley of Clarksburg Loc., Carol (Steven) Brugman of Oconto Falls, WI and Theresa (Robert) Garrow of Gwinn, special niece and Goddaughter Rebecca Prisk, special nephew and Godson Daniel Collick, along with numerous other nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd Sr. and a brother Lloyd Jr.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 – 5:30 on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 5:30pm. All are invited to the Al Quaal Pavilion to continue to celebrate Dave's life at a cookout following the services.

Dave's family wishes to extend a special thank you to everyone who has ever been in contact with or touched his life in a special way.
