Ishpeming – Marcia A. Hytinen, age 61 of 100 High Excelsior St., Ishpeming passed away on Tuesday October 18, 2011 at the Marquette General Hospital.
Marcia was born March 23, 1950 in Marquette, the daughter of August and Pauline (Genord) Baggiore. She was a graduate of the Ishpeming High School, Class of 1968. Marcia was a lifelong area resident and attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Marcia was a great source of information and always enjoyed socializing. She spent many hours knitting various items for family and friends. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren along with her pets & gardening.
Survivors include a son James (Angela) Hytinen of Republic, her longtime companion Don Blemke of Ishpeming, her father August Baggiore of Ishpeming, 2 sisters – Jeanne (William) Cox of Ishpeming and Rosemary (Thomas) Stern of Midland, a brother Mark Baggiore of Ishpeming, 2 grandchildren – Anna and Emily Hytinen, along with several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Pauline in 2003.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 1 until 3pm on Monday October 24, 2011 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ishpeming. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00pm on Monday at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. James Challancin to officiate. Inurnment will take place at the Negaunee Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mark and Jonathon Baggiore, Brad Cox, James Maki, Gary Stanaway and Joe Belpedio.
